The family is in town, so we played tourists.
We watched the hustle and bustle of Grand Central Station over plates of calamari and sandwiches at Cipriani Dolci, an Italian restaurant that overlooks the station. The food was fresh and light, and the people watching was top notch.
We roamed around aimlessly for awhile and spotted the Chrysler Building. Hard to miss it, looming over us. NYC felt more like Gotham City once the clouds settled in.
Our feet started to whine, and so we gazed up at the Plaza Hotel for a good thirty minutes from the comfort of a park bench. I snapped photos of dozens American flags fluttering in the wind yesterday. It is almost Fourth of July, after all.
What will tomorrow bring? In NYC, you never know.
